If the payments section on the online SF account still says 'approved', does that mean the university have not yet confirmed attendance to SFE?

That's what I was told, but as it wasn't by someone associated with the process, I'm not entirely sure how true it is - it definitely means something is waiting to be done though! (That's what my account says at the moment, problem is, no one seems to know what's waiting to be done lol)

My attendance was confirmed just over a week ago and mine still says "Approved". My university confirms attendance when we register online.

It changes to submitted around 3 days before the payment date once the attendance is confirmed. It will stay at Approved until then even if attendance is confirmed.
  • my payment date was the 20th. I registered with the uni last Friday. My status till says approved :(

My university are all paid on the same date - the very first day of Freshers Week (Monday), with Submitted status appearing on the Thursday before.

I think your university sets the dates of the loan payment as friends at other universities receive theirs on different dates to me (our Freshers Week isn't until October).

Got my finance today was so pleased!!

With the phones, if you find you are taking ages to get through hang up, redial and just keep pressing 0 over and over, I find it goes "I'm sorry I didn't recognise your input" (or whatever) a few times then puts me straight through to someone. This has saved me a lot of holding time which adds up to more money spent! Last year I was phoning SFE every single day for about a month trying to sort my finance out and it was a nightmare so get ready for 1 or 2 of you to do that!! (And when they cocked up my uni paid me some emergancy fund money too which was useful!!)
