2 years ago i figured that my ds had too many toys and around this time of year decided to sell them on ebay.....i raised £200+
i then bought ds £100 premium bonds and the rest i spent on ebay buying 2nd hand and new gifts on ebay. so the answer is yes people do buy used toys.
on christmas morning my son was none the wiser that the brio trains that he was opening had already been used. and it made it alot easier that we didnt have to fiddle with twisted wires etc.
i am considering "recycling" again this yearGive blood - its free0 -

Is it worth listing them??
Thanks in advance.
I would think it depends a lot on the age range of the toy and the durability of the item.
I've bought second-hand Bob the Builder lego for my son from eBay because it can stand a fair bit of playing and is very difficult to damage! Also character items like Power Rangers should sell well - even the older stuff.
As other people have advised, check out the completed listings for similar items and see how much they sell for.

I buy second hand toys for presents for my DD or kids of my close friends (whose permission I have got to give second hand stuff). As long as they are in good clean condition then I think its fine.
They grow so quick ..... whats the point on buying everything new!2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
I think there will always be a market for good quality second-hand toys. As other posters have pointed out though, sometimes the postage costs will make it difficult to sell through Ebay.
I have recently had a huge clearout of toddler toys, lots of Fisher Price and Little Tikes which I have sold via an NCT sale. 30% of sale proceeds are kept by the NCT but it is a low hassle way of selling bulky items and outgrown clothing etc. I have also sold toys through the local newspaper before but then of course you have people coming to your house which not everyone is comfortable with. The Netmums site is a new one on me so thanks for that idea.0 -
