mobe Mobile Contract into daughters name now she is 18

As part of her monthly allowance I have been paying a £15 per month contract with Orange on the phone my daughter uses. She turned 18 this month and the contract comes up for renewal in December. She still has another year to go in school so I'm happy to carry on paying this for her whilst she is in full-time education and only working Saturdays but what I want to know is, when it comes to renewal time is it beneficial to her in terms of building her own credit score, if we put the contract in her name instead of mine. She is sensible and the 2 years I've been paying this she rarely slips over the £15 by more than a few pence and normally tells me if this is going to happen and offers to pay any extra.

Orange will let you transfer the acc into her name (as long as she can pass the credit check) at any time. But if you're due an upgrade in Dec I'd do it after that as I've a feeling that you'll lose any 'good will' once you transfer the name as it's effectively a new contract from that point. . .
