  • There's a good thread here about them. Also if you do a search in OS for Kenwood Chef you will come up with lots of info.

Ooooo just did my first a hyper-link thingy - I am so proud!!:rotfl:

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Indeed they do. There are a few threads on here by people who have happily purchased brand new, but the general opinion is that the older ones (A701, A901) are so well made that it is much more economical to buy one second-hand. (or 'borrow' one from your parents:p )

My A701 is 40 years old and gets used daily - it's in great condition!

Anyone know what the sausage stuffing attachment number is for the A701?
Is one suitable for an A701 that fits an A901?

    Am I making any sense?

    more coffee someone quickly:rotfl: :o
  • it depends on which model mincer you have - the really early mincers with a round hopper tray are harder to fit - you have to look for the fillers on ebay or suchlike. I think the 901's will fit the newer 701 mincers but haven't tried it myself.

    Thistle down,

does the potato peeler do a good job?

I hate peeling spuds but DH loves eating spuds (and so do I). I would cook them far more often if I didn't have to peel them!

This is one time where I would recommend getting a new attachment! The potato peeler is good, but you will still be left with some minor bits of skin. Nobody has complained here! They are fab for new potatoes esp. but if I am just doing one or two big ones, I think it's easier to peel them with a peeler. You need to wash them quite well too, so the skin comes out of the sandpapery bit and doesn't get clogged.

Very useful in the holidays or for big crowds!

Can I ask why? Does the sandpaper bit wear down?
