    you must call straight away if you are sick, and certainly before you are due to sign-it's all in your attendance book (though in my experience few people even read that)-but if you dont , you have 5 working days to give your reason for not signing on, otherwise the claim will be closed. Failing to follow a "direction" ie missing the meeting because you were late, is what got you the sanction before. As long as you havent already had 2 periods of sickness in this jobseeking period, your missed signing would be treated as 'straightforward' and your money gets sent, only you might get it a day or so later.
