I'm looking to buy a used car in the region of £700. I am female, 35, have only ever been a named driver on my husband's insurance so have 0 years NCD. Student is one of the worst occupations you can put down (Musician being the worst). For example it would be 35% cheaper if you were a teacher.

As a postgrad aren't you really doing research rather than learning, so one of the researcher based occupations may be more appropriate. Have a look at the insurance occupation guide on this site.
