    Most, if not all policies are; drive other vehicles not owned by the insured. And then a majority of them also need the other car to have it's own insurance in place, so that was never really an issue.

    It's actually a very small MINORITY that require the other vehicle to have it's own Insurance when using the driving other cars extension.

    Vaio is spot on in that Insurers offer the cover for use in emergencies although they do not actually stipulate this as they cannot define an emergency in the policy wording. So the they do not actually state it is for emergency use and cannot enforce it being for emergency use

    3rd party coverage on another car? I've never had a policy without it.
