 Exactly the same happened to me a couple of years ago. It was when Next were updating their website to be able to offer new facilities, bit of a coincidence that the box got unchecked at the same time!?:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

            I have spoken to Next re the VIP slots they advised me that you have to have the offers box ticked and also have to be signed up to receive copies of directory each season.
 I did point out that some people like to just shop online so according to their rules we are losing out for trying to be greener and saving on waste paper ??
 Is anyone able to confirm this - do all you with VIP slots receive copies of the actual directory ?

            Definitely keep checking your account. I logged in yesterday to pay my bill and no invite. I went back in today on the off chance and was able to book a slot for 9pm on Thursday. No maternity clothes in the listing though which is what I need 0 0

            Account clear, boxes all ticked and yet again no slot for me. Fed up as there is a coat I want in the sale and it will be gone by the time we lesser mortals get to log in to the sale on Saturday. I'm wondering whether it's because I don't get a directory??0

            I've got the sale email offering me a slot, but I'm not going to bother. Have bought enough clothes this year.0

            I am also gutted that I cannot join the sale having spent over £1000 in the past two months. However, because I do not like waste I don’t have a directory (plus begrudge having to pay for the privilege of having one!)

            I've just spoken with Cust Services.
 To get a VIP slot you have to:
 a) be on automatic delivery for the catalogue
 b) have placed an order within the most recent one, kept the items and paid for them.
 I never placed an order last season as we are trying to sell out house and I was trying not to clutter it up. I have had a VIP invite for the past 7 years without fail so was very surprised when this one didn't come through!
 Hope this helps others to understand why they weren't selected this time
