C is an option if you choose to ignore the biblical and secular historical accounts other than that it's an idea promulgated by Karl Marx that religion is a means to oppress the working classes which of course is ironic given the track record of communism. I notice that world history does not revolve around Karl Marx but the blue collar worker from Galilee therefore I am going to stake my eternal soul on what was done by Jesus Christ on the cross conquering death and showing he was who he said he was and did what he said he came to do.

You have to face God on the Day of Judgement, will you be innocent or guilty? Don't kid yourself, you will be guilty!! If you are guilty where will you spend eternity? Heaven or Hell? Don't kid yourself again, God is GOOD and JUST and although he doesn't want to send you to Hell His GOODNESS demands that justice be carried out, His Word, The Bible says so! However, God doesn't want to send you to Hell. He sent His son Jesus Christ to suffer and die on the cross in your place so that you could go free, that is how much God loves you. We broke God's Law but Jesus paid our fine and then He rose from the dead and defeated death. If you REPENT (turn from your sin with a contrite heart, vowing to never do it again) and TRUST in Him God will forgive your sins and grant you the gift of everlasting life. Obey the gospel today, you may be dead tomorrow. Read the Bible daily and obey what you read, God will never let you down. If you die 'in your sins', unrepentant as an enemy of God it will be too late, it is only because of God's mercy that you have survived to read this, you are only a heart beat from eternity and hell, don't delay, accept God's free gift of SALVATION now!!

What historical accounts exactly? We have no eye-witness accounts, only hearsay, gossip and fables passed over years and years after his alleged life.

No more evidence exists that shows JC had any more chance of existing than Thor, Isis, Zeus or Osiris. I'm sorry but looking at the historical evidence shows the most likely is that none of these people existed.

The Gospels are eyewitness accounts! Have you read them? Start with John and ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you. You are like a blind man trying to understand the concept of colour, it is only with spiritual eyes that you can see the truth of God's Word. When you read the Bible have a look at Psalm 14 verse 1, you may identify yourself!!

Yes, I've studied the bible a lot, I suspect far more than the majority of those of faith. The gospels are clearly not eyewitness accounts.
