Advice on new Mobile Phone provider
Hello all, having been looking on the forums for a while, i though i would ask you adivce please.
Im currently with Orange and im looking to move to a provider who has a good connection network in general but also Orange give poor quality in my area ( near cannock, walsall in the west midlands ) and im disgusted with their customer service, without going into detail. Ive heard O2 and Vodaphone are quite good?? ( coverage ) I know customer serivce will always be an issue, but any advice or opinions would be much welcome,
Many thanks

I live in Walsall so I can help. O2 is generally strong everywhere, Voda can be a little patchy, I never had an issue with T-mobile and it really depend on where you live with Three.Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0

Many thanks for your comment MissK. I live in Great wyrley.. So you use T mobile then?? any issues away from this area. I know T mobile and Orange are coming together early next, i belive as they both have over subcribed networks..0

What I done last time I was looking for a network was checked their coverage in my local area via their website then I looked at the various deals to see who was the best value for money;
T-Mobile Coverage Checker
O2 Coverage Checker
Orange
Vodafone
I think this is the three coverage checker, their website's so bad and half the links are down for "maintenance" so I can't be sure.
Personally I'd go with O2 or vodafone, but check your coverage first, there's no point in getting a great handset, lots of inclusive minutes etc. for a great price if you can only use it 3 miles from home or round the corner from your work.0 -
Many thanks for your post.. Having checked the coverage, orange should work but it dosnt tbh.. I have a few friends around and of course checked the signals on their phone .. It looks like O2 have the best signal, so i think i will plumpt for them as Vodaphone seem to have a few more issues with customer service.. they must share the same people as orange....0

I've been with O2 for 6 years now and although I've had some problems recently I've got to say the customer service have always been great and very helpful0 -

Not sure if T-Mobile is over subscribed? I've never seen anything to suggest that. Data speeds usually remain pretty good.0 -

o2's customer service is far superior. Vodafone seem to be an arrogant network, on a reputation that they built in the '90s. I personally don't find their coverage all that great.0 -

Agree - but the interface isn't great, plus the networks no longer need to supply the information.0 -
My hairdresser is based in Great Wyrley and she's on Vodafone, she says its the strongest signal in the area. I'm on Orange and the signal is very shaky but I can't sniff at the 40% line rental discount I get through work.
O2 2g signal is fab, their 3g is shocking in Leamore. I was with T-mobile for years and always got brilliant coverage all over the Black Country. Shame their deals are poor. :-(
Most people in this area opt for O2 but the network is getting a little conjested so I'm hearing a few complaints recently about it.Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0
