new contract with Vodaphone

Hi,

my current 18 months contract with Vodaphone expires in January '07. I made a purchase through their website and my tariff is 125min/100 messages for £20.
I was wondering if it possible to call them now after 15 months and ask for a renewed contract in order to get a new phone or should I wait until January and consider other options.
Any advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
