Has anyone any ideas what to get teenage boys. I was going to get them the playstation 3, but it seems it's going to be very expensive and they don't think it's worth getting straight away because they think it's too expensive as well. They're good like that. They got all the usual things i.e. t.v's, games consoles, bikes. I could give them money but it's not very christmassy is it.Any ideas ?

What do they think of the Nintendo Wii? That should only be 180 quid when it comes out - far cheaper than the PS3. It seems gamers are split about it - some think its going to be cool, others think its just silly. Could you scope out which side of the camp they're on there?DFW Nerd No. 140

MP3 player or a CD player with CDs? Branded sports items like Adidas tops? A nice watch? Books to do with their favourite interests? Football match/concert/cinema tickets?0

Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately they have got CD players. They hate branded sports wear. We are taking them to the theatre on New Year's day and the tickets are £55 each  I know I'm mad but I think we will all really enjoy it.0 -

Here's some info on it from Nintendos site:
http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/en/GB/system/wii_topic1.jsp
Its not aimed at the super-duper graphics and high end hardware side of the market like the PS3, its aimed at being different and fun - special controllers with motion-sensors to give new ways to control games, and a 'virtual console' where you can download and play old games from previous Nintendo consoles.
It comes out on December 8th in Europe.
Be warned you may have added expense for extra controllers for certain games (although it does take Gamecube controllers if you already have one of those), but it still works out cheaper than the PS3.DFW Nerd No. 140

I'm not trying to be funny, but why don't you just ask them what they want? They're too old to believe in Father Christmas, and it would be a terrible shame for you to spend out a lot of money for something they dont really want or like.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

Guitar for one, bass guitar for the other, and drums for the third.
