I have curry on the mealplan for tonight but I forgot to buy rice! Really don't want to make an extra trip to the shops but I'm really stuck for ideas on what to serve instead of rice.
I don't have any naan breads or cous cous, I have a few new potatoes and some pasta
Someone help me out otherwise it's gonna be curry cannelloni :rotfl:

Have you got natural yoghurt, flour, salt and yeast ? Make naan.
Or with (ideally) wholemeal flour make simple flat bread/chapati things.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I would probably go with new potatoes - should be lovely. Or if you really wanted to, you could do a bombay potato -style dish with tomato and spices to compliment whatever else you are having.Love and compassion to all x0

Could try to make a bombay potato-like dish?
Do you have any tomato's / chopped tomatos / passata and some spices (garam masala perhaps?)0 -
I was thinking of bombay potatoes but I only have curry paste in so it would be the same flavour for the curry and potatoes lol0

I regularly boil some new potatoes - cut them into two and stir them in with the curry so its a one pot dish - filling and lovely!0

yorkie puddings or roll pancakes with the curry and crisp over in the oven.0

If you roast the new potato's in the oven with a wee drop off oil and salt and garlic. (you could sprinkle with curry powder or cumin) Par boiling is quicker but I usually throw them in for 30 40mins.
Great low Carb alternative is to use Cauliflower to make rice.

Basically Grate Cauliflower put in to a suitable bowl and microwave for 4 mins. (don't add water).0 -
I'd probably make a potato curry dish or perhaps a rosti with some nice herbs/spices to complement the dish you already have?? oooh or spicy wedges?
