The IPA will be based on the amount of surplus money over £100 you have left over each month after all of your outgoings.
If you have £100 surplus then the IPA would be for 50% of that, i.e. £50.
It goes up on a sliding scale up to 70% of the surplus if you have £500 or more surplus each month.10 1p's are better than no 10p's !!!

My bankruptcy ended on Wednesday last week.
Best thing I ever did. I learnt a helluva lot in my "debt" years and my vow is never to get that way again.
Overspent last month - but refuse to have an overdraft. I'll just scrape buy this month. First big mistake ina whole year so I am well chuffed with myself.0 -

Well done CG - hope you stick around to share your experiences of bankruptcy with the rest of us.:beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Give them a call and ask to speak to either Sean or Steve. They will assess your personal case and then tell you your options that are personal to you. You then make the decision.
Myvesta are absolutely superb!! I can highly recommend them!
ALL DMC's charge a fee for work on an IVA/Bankruptcy or whatever. So do Payplan and CCCS. Just that all three of them do the initial investigative work totally free of charge.
Myvesta are just the best and that is from personal experience.
Not strictly true, they charge a `statement of affairs fee`.
The difference between Payplan CCCS and Myvesta is that Payplan and CCCS are licenced IP's, but Myvesta arent.
Also CCCs and Payplan are long established UK companies. Myvesta are an American company just starting out in the UK, and I belive they have had a few problems in the US!10 1p's are better than no 10p's !!!

My point was that Myvesta provide FREE advice, as do Payplan and CCCS, unlike a lot of companies that are advertising themselves to death on tv and in the press.
Myvesta do use recognised IP's to do their work.
Their fees come from passing the work to other major companies.
From the complaints here re payplan and cccs, none of them are without problems!0 -
Just had my call with the official receiver, it lasted a total of 18 minutes, not bad eh?
They told me they should have made contact with all my creditors within 8 weeks time. What shall I do if (or rather when) they start bugging me? Do I tell them to call the official receivers office if they have a problem? I forgot to ask OR, I had a few questions to ask but got a bit nervous and left a few out.Fight for clean hospitals, C-DIFF takes lives

All you need to do is to quote your bankruptcy court number. They probably won't believe a word you say - Rog2 can vouch for that.
Well done in getting it all over with!0 -

Hi bf - if your creditors do start 'bugging you' simply tell them that you have been declared bankrupt, if asked give them the date and you br number. Tell them that you can no longer discuss the debt with them, as this will be construed as them trying to get favorable status over your other creditors. Tell them that the OR will be in contact with them in due course, and TELL them not to contact you, directly, again or you will report them to the OR for harrassment.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. Thank you both sandralovescats and rog2. I'm going to get a great deal of satisfaction telling them all to chip off. I know its my fault i'm in this situation not theirs but I've done something about it and boy have I learnt from my mistakes! I will never, EVER wish for a credit card or catalogue ever again in my life, and now I have no bedts I can start to save for my daughter (she's only 17 months) so she will never have to feel the need to get credit from anywhere.
I love this website!
