    Happy Anniversary cyclingyorkie

Is it just me or is it very, very cold today? May have to crack and put the woodburner on, but I need to clean the glass first - and to do that I need to get dressed :o.

Still have several more big trug tubs to get through (mix of cookers/eaters - not many fit for storing), and lots of quinces that I haven't a clue how to use.

Really lovely blog and the last but one post was regarding the use of Sue's quinces. Im sure she would be happy to advise if you email her.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Toots, it won't be too bad. I'll do one garden one day and then the other over two days. I'm hoping when hubby see's me starting then he'll help abit but he's been getting alot of dizzy spells lately so i'll more than likely do it myself. There's only 4 trees to get planted and all windows are clean on the inside so i'm getting there. :D

Wm on and i should only have two more loads to do today, dw on at the minute. Dishes that need doing by hand are done.

Heads up for anyone looking toys out of argos, it 3 for 2 until wednesday on all toys priced between £9.99 - £49.99. Good bargain. Must do a reservation tonight. :rotfl:

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Hullo again,
Have been busy since last post, mound of washing up done and a few old plates put on freecycle, kitchen s&s'd, cake made and in oven, kitchen s&s'd again and herb/spice cupboard cleaned and tidied.

Once the cake's out the oven and bub is fed I might take boys to the park for a bit, although it's raining DS1 could do with a run around. Then I want to sort the carp on top of the second fridge freezer and swap it round with the tumble dryer. Oh and I need to get towels out of wm and into dryer, then another load into the wm including bubs winter coat - another thing to cross off my list :j And I'm determind windows will all be cleaned inside today too...

Talking of list, I'm going to find mine, see you soon!
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

Thank you - lots of ideas there, mine aren't yellow yet so I guess I need to wait a few weeks before I pick them - and now I want the Nigel Slater books :p

  • Hi Toots and everyone who welcomed me, and thank you for the useful PM.
Well, I've done a few things- shined my sink, cleaned kitchen surfaces, and swept the kitchen floor. Also cleared a mixed pile of "to go outs" from the hall, so we can nearly walk around in it. (worse than it sounds.... it's a big hall!) Silly it's piled up so much. We live across the road from a charity shop yet those bags have been waiting for me to pass them over for weeks!
I've also got the children running up to their room and clearing 30 items into the bin every few hours. So far that seems to be working.
Off to enjoy the sunshine now. Going for a walk and perhaps an ice cream :)
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.
  • Helly and piggers - Yukky yuk yuk! What an awakening for you both

Happy Anniversary to the Dusties and the Cyclings

Mrs C re:gammon I would halve the gammon joint if possible then cook 1 half in cola, finish off in the oven with a glaze (eg black treacle/marmalade/apricot jam) then you can use any leftovers for sandwiches or meals such as gammon egg and chips, gammon and pasta and peas in a creamy or cheesy sauce, in a pie eg ham and leek pie, ham and mushroom, chicken and ham

You could freeze the other half to use at a later date to do the same when you can face it again! HTH

I've been to the uni library and eventually found some background reading (most of the essential reading has already gone) That was one humumgous place! Declutted some soup and a Toffee Crisp for lunch (alright it was 2), just waiting for BM to finish the wholemeal loaf. 2 loads of washing are drying on the line.

Camera has gone wappy and just seeing if any photos on the MC can be transferred or if it went wappy before saving the photo - if not then no chance of ebaying

Next thing is HHI then the bedroom then make a big batch of bolognaise for the freezer and cook a chicken for tea.

    Now then were's my list.......
