to the Dustys - did you enjoy your meal?

Great to see you Soappie - any pics of the chooks?

It's dry, so I'm going to hang the washing then go for a run. I did lots in the garden yesterday, so I'm going to see what else needs doing, and may be out there. The children are both in tonight, so I'm making steak and kidney pie, with HG veg, and baked apples :)

Off to find me a list :j Have a great day, everyone :A

  • Hi there,
I wondered if I could be added to next weeks thread as I need to FLY!!! Living in clutter, and really truly can't have anyone over. DD1 has just left to go back to uni and seems to have been creating her own compost heap in her room-thoughtfully left for us to clear, and we have this room, and another small bedroom to clear so that DD2 and DS2 can have separate bedrooms.
Apart from this, a lot of our flat is taken up with shop stock from the shop my husband has- this needs sorted and ebayed if it's out of date stock, or transferred to another store/down to the shop if it's not.
Generally the house is a mess, which is getting us all down, so I'd like to join for some support and motivation. I tend to be a bit all or nothing when it comes to housework and am hoping that the little-bit-every-day ethos will keep me stuck at it!
Hope everyone's having a good morning. Beautiful weather here in sunny Scotland.
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.

Happy Birthday Valli, hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Dusty.

Kids all up and breakfast done, just need to get them dressed and away to sunday school.

I think today will be loads of washing, the basket over flowing.

    Right where's me list.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

OH has to work again tomorrow so no weekend for me. I honestly don't know why I look forward to the weekend anymore, either he works or we're too broke to do anything so we spend the day doing nothing anyway. It gets very monotonous...

Could you find some things near you that don't cost anything to visit or go for a walk and take a picnic?

I've been up for a bit, catching up on here with a cuppa. Another cuppa and breakfast next, and also need to get DH up.
Yesterday was good. I'm finally getting a proper plan for repayments together and have started to respond to any letters straight away. Got lots of good deals at costco and started putting a Mr T shop together for Tuesday night (cheapest rate). And I went out last night.

    Plan for today:
    HW with DS2
laundry (WM, drying, sorting, ironing for tomorrow and putting away)
get last few bits for tea and vanilla icecream for banana milkshake
    cook tea
bake something to use up bananas and apples
WORK (marking and data analysis - oh joy!)
    phone two friends
    update budget

HELP, please, with two questions. I'm looking for a little heater for the loft (DS1's bedroom) and don't know which kind is cheapest to run. Also, I've bought a massive gammon (almost 5kg) and am wondering what's best - cook whole, then slice up and freeze, half it and do the same, or quarter it for four dinners and leftovers.

Best move my backside off this sofa, as it's getting late. Have a good Sunday, everyone.
