Had a wonderful time in the garden today. Beautiful weather, just like it was the day we got married, 18 years ago tomorrow. DH and I are out to dinner tonight to celebrate (as the Italian we wanted to go to is not open tomorrow).

Still trying to choose a tree but many wonderful hours looking in books/online.

Fedup - hugs sweetie, you did so well yesterday with your spare room

Triker hope your DD had a wonderful 18th yesterday, did she like her cake?

DH has picked the last of the plums so I'll deal with those tomorrow.

End of an era too. Slide has sold on ebay so DH has collapsed it. Feel slightly sad as it has been in our garden for 14 years but I have already got the plants with the proceeds to fill the gap :j;)

  • Dusty - Happy Anniversary for tomorrow, congratulations!

I walked into the spare room this afternoon and looked around and thought 'that's nice to see a little bit more space'

Next plan is to ebay exercise equipment, chair and matching stool and then maybe, just maybe my rather large 30cm gorgeous Le Creuset pan. I have a 29cm one too and don't really think I need this one. Such a wrench to let this one go.....

Feeling a bit happier now after keeping busy this afternoon

    Happy Anniversary Dusty

We have had a fun day - Staples (DS2 wanted to sniff the paper!)and BnQ (so DH can finish the family BR this weekend). Sunny so I decided to pick a tub trug of apples - lots of juice through the magimix juicer, weezls apple curd (no peeling so good) and I have some rings drying in the oven. Will have to keep going tomorrow as we have another 50kg or so to go. valli - swap you apple processing for ironing?

    thank you hun...:A

(posting this so YOU know I saw it;))

I have put petrol in my car and done the tyre checks. I have also been and spent an exhorbitant amount of money on food for tomorrow. Started a trife but the fridge is full so I am hoping the fact that the heating is off will help. There's a veggie chilli in the slow cooker. I now need more single cream though as the last pot made a bid for freedom. Mopped up most of it - clearly not all as there is a queue of cats lapping at the fridge door. Not going to re mop though as it will just get trashed tomorrow!

  • Good evening  I'm home alone with a bottle of red for company. Help yourselves, and I have white, beer, cider, sherry, and a bottle of something blue, if you're feeling exotic - help yourselves  DS is as a gig and DD has been asked to stay late at work (and badly needs the money ;) ). Going to knock up a pasta sauce with HG cherry tomatoes, herbs and garlic :)

Going to see what's left on my lists, then settle down to do some paperwork
