  • Good morning  We lit our first log fire of the season last night, and I'll be putting the central heating timer on to take the chill off in the mornings :) I'll be adding "tidying and sweeping the log store" to my lists of jobs today - I do like a tidy wood pile :rotfl: DH used to say (before Iwas a regular on here, of course :p )that my log pile was the tidiest place on our property :rotfl:

Love baby-Rach's name :T I've asked to be your FB friend ;)

Going to make the teens a cup of tea before I take them swimming and tackle the supermarket  Wish me luck; I may be some time .............

The doctor prescribes chocolate and wine - what's your preference?

Both? :o In fact I had a mega headache last night so choc and a cuppa t would have been heaven :)

I seem to have broken a tooth without noticing :/ all of a sudden there was a sharp edge on my back tooth and the side is feeling rough. Not hurting yet...but a trip to the dentist is needed...shame I don't actually have a dentist...

Leo is a lovely name Rach, I wanted it for Jake but OH really hated it :( The only name he'd come up with though is Andrew - his own name! I put my foot down on that one seeing as there's already 2 other Andrews in the family... Can't wait for you to post a pic - obviously take your time though! I'm not friends with anyone here on Faceache :( Wait, can anyone hear a tiny violin playing...:rotfl:

Anyway, flying wise I will just do my dailies and menu plan today, some baking and a trip to the library once the parcel I'm waiting for arrives. Might attack some windows if I feel the urge although the only one that's bad is the one the cat jumps in and out of.

Penpen, my heating is going on too, just for a couple of hours morning and evening. Kidlets hands were like ice this morning. Bought ds1 some vests yesterday too, they'll be going on soon...

Hugs spoons and sticks, have a lovely weekend x

    Morning all

I've been up for a while - had breakfast, two cups of tea and finished adding up figures for next month (payday is 26th). It should be ok, but there's not a lot of leeway if I want to put some money away for Christmas and our holidays next year. Hoping for a month without any emergencies. I could really do with some new shoes and clothes for work, too. :(

DSs are watching live 'n' deadly and I need to make a start. I still haven't got a firm plan for this weekend. Could go to costco (some good offers) and there's a continental market in town, but that's in the opposite direction. I'm debating having shopping delivered (Mr A or Mr T), but it might be easier to nip into Mr M's tonight when DH is home. Laundry first, though, no matter what we decide to do, as it's bright and sunny outside.

Hope everyone has a good Saturday.

Yesterday went well, without too many hitches :rotfl:. DD1 loved her 'this looks nothing like Hogwarts' cake. The house is full of balloons and banners and she loved her pressies.

Went out for a drink last night and all went well except for one her friends being very sick in the toilet and I had to send her home in a taxi in the end.

DD1 was most disappointed that she wasn't asked for i.d. once despite going to the bar a lot.:rotfl:

So normal service is resumed today, wm x1, did a load last night too and decluttered a lot of washing from upstairs to downstairs.

Off to get some breakfast as hungry. Catch you all later. x

Good morning  We lit our first log fire of the season last night, and I'll be putting the central heating timer on to take the chill off in the mornings :) I'll be adding "tidying and sweeping the log store" to my lists of jobs today - I do like a tidy wood pile :rotfl: DH used to say (before Iwas a regular on here, of course :p )that my log pile was the tidiest place on our property :rotfl:

I love my wood store, and my bags of kindling in the side shed and my piles of wood to be seasoned. Mine is a bit of a mess at the moment as bits have been stuffed in of all sizes over winter but once we have used that lot up it will be swept and restocked. Might light the fire tomorrow night.

We have condensation and the mould is coming back already on the windows. Now wondering if it was a good idea to go for having them repaired or should we have had them replaced.

Just plan to get on with my list today but as it is a big blue sky morning once I'm dressed it'll be an hour of gardening in a bit:T

:hello:Soappie, Pooh, Polly, Hex and Serena morning to you my 'oldest' flylady friends - hugs to the rest of you and hope you have sunshine.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
