I already said it on the daily thread, but will say again here:o
Congratulations Rach on the birth of your son.
Two days' worth of Flying have been done today in the Wolf's Lair - or at least, as much as I can manage of it.:o Been doing small bits, then resting, in between coughing my lungs out.
Mr LW had yesterday off, and we did some baking together, including a X**s pud recipe, which is actually for us to have for Samhain (Hallowe'en);) and also took the big box of [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] valuable artifacts to the RSPCA shop, diverting to a pub we haven't visited in a long time on the way home - well, it's recently got a new landlady, so as good little CAMRA members, it was our duty to check it out!:rotfl:
Champagne and a beeswax candle in the evening completed the day, which we enjoyed despite both having filthy colds.:o
I've read through the thread, but haven't taken all in; lovely kittens, 365days, thanx for posting the pic; and did someone mention puppies somewhere along the line?:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I have officially had enough of other peoples bodily fluids. I know that sounds disgustingly filthy but believe me it isn't. DS1 was laying on the floor while I was changing his nappy, stuck the pencil he had in his hand down his throat and promptly gagged and threw up, then choked on the sick and threw up some more, all over himself, me, the carpet and the changing mat. Think I'll be getting the candles out again once he's in bed...
LameWolf hope your cold gets better soon. I've had one threatening with a sore throat for a while now but nothing has come of it, hoping it's just new Mummy tiredness.
toochoosey have a nice weekend, hope the weather isn't too gloomy. So, there are these boys,
They kinda stole my heart,

Afternoon/Evening all!
I'm soooo glad it's the weekend (think I said that last Friday, too
). This has been a madly busy week, with no sign of things getting easier. Won't bore you with the details, but virtually no flying done, so the house is getting worse rather than better.
This afternoon I've eaten (missed lunch at work), had a short nap and caught up with a few pages of fred. I can't promise that I'll remember everyone.
MsGnomey - huge hugs and posi-vibes are on their way.
Congratulations to Rach and Mr Rach. Baby boys are wonderful.
Looks like my brain has seized up, so I'll go for a large supply of hugs and spoons so everyone can help themselves.
Plan for the rest of today:
feed everyone
make a start on laundry
DW
budget
some dot-to-dotting and make something with oldish bananas???
oh, and - erm - school work
try another bottle of wine from my box

Evening all,
Well I went into town with Moon today as I didn't get a call for work, and we went to Virgin, and I paid off some more of the honeymoon. We also gave her the paperwork to send to the weddings department, so saved a bit of money on postage there.
Whilst I was in town, I got a voice message from my supply agency saying that they'd had an enquiry from a private school for someone to cover from October 4th - Christmas, and would I be interested? I said yes, and they forwarded my details, and I now have a "formal chat" with them after school on Tuesday. Bit nervous, as I've not had an interview for a while, and it's a Year 6 class and they learn french (I'm hoping they have a dedicated teacher for this, as I haven't learnt french since year 8, and wouldn't have a clue how to teach it if I get the job - I may need to ask advice from serena). I'm hoping that I'll be contracted directly with the school, as I'd imagine that the pay will be better. My mum will be pleased when I tell her tonight, as she keeps on at me to teach in a private school, and the agency will be happy too, as it opens up possibilities for clients. Fingers crossed I like the school and they like me.
Flying wise, I'm afraid I've not done anything, as I've been out all day, but on the plus side, neither of us have been in to make a mess.
Well I'm off to watch Home and Away before heading to dinner at my M&D's.
Hugs to all who need or want them.
