  • Wow, Rach you sound like you're coping incredibly well hun. Will be thinking of you and waiting with bated breath for news, how exciting!
Hex hope your DS is better soon, sick is never fun...
Toots hang in there hun and rest. I know what it's like being in hospital, you've nothing to do and your mind whirs. (((hugs)))
Only read this page but I'm guessing we're expecting another flybaby grateful? Congrats! All these babies are making me broody again, mine are growing up too quickly. Not complaining that at 10 weeks bub is sleeping through the night though :j

Off to find my list. Got DS1's little music group and then a playdate so will be out all morning, but will fly this afternoon.
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

He has hit the "I want" stage running and since we got home from preschool (and the whole walk home - takes me 6 minutes on my own and 25 with him walking...) it's been "I want juice" "I want pasta" "I want Peppa Pig" ARGH! I'm trying to teach him to say "I would like...please" but it's not going in. I will not give up though!
Don't give up Hellyboo - I have always insisted my kids use their manners and it does pay off. Receive many a compliment off complete strangers who say it is lovely to hear young ones using them. You could always try ignoring him until he says it properly. Mine realised they were more likely to get what they wanted if they asked properly. After a while, they will do it naturally and you will be glad you persevered. HTH

Just to add to this, although my DS drives me to distraction with LOTS of things I am so pleased when I hear him on the phone to his mates using words like 'Pardon' and I too have had compliments on the manners of my kids (plus I'm flying the flag for the single parents cos we're not all bad;))

When my neices were small their Uncle was staying over and at breakfast one of the kids did the 'I want...'
Uncle said 'I want never gets' to which our Little L replied
'We've not got never gets. We've got some Honey Nut Ploops...'

brought in the washing (I'd done loads as I knew it was going to be a fine day), ironed it, mended DD's school trousers (which were bought new for September so not yet much worn - the hem had dropped) and while attempting to cook tea for the Vallikids+1 mowed the lawn because I am having an At Home Sunday afternoon to which I have invited family, friends and colleagues.
