How exciting Rach. I should just ignore him, he is going to be feeling very left out and out of control today. I hope you manage to get some rest.
DS1 woke me up being sick on the floor at 4.30am. He is now on the sofa watching a film, and have cleared up as best I can in the dark. Bless him, he keeps on apologising and he was on his way to the loo. DS2 will not be impressed when he has to go to school - this hasn't happened for a couple of years so hopefully he might be a bit more grown up about it. I feel sick myself but that may just be the bit where I stood in it.......'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

yuk hex, that's not something I look forward to
contractions are about 3 mins apart so I don't think I will be getting much sleep! Have just phoned the labour ward, she said can come in now or wait, I said I'll try and wait another hour then wake DH and FiL to give me a lift...poor guy has taken me to the hosp twice today already! Am tempted to just leave DH sleeping and leave a note but that would be a bit cruel. It is bad timing in that he is meant to be meeting his boss this morning, said boss goes away to africa for a week or two on sat and with DH about to hand in notice.... but I'm sure they can do what's needed over the phone...anyway I can't help when the baby comes!
this is really very painful I'm not sure how long I can do this for!!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Rach - I am guessing the SPD and so on is making it worse but it will be ok. The worst bit is not knowing how much worse it is going to get, DS2 was easier because I knew what the pain level was going to be if that makes sense. How far apart are the contractions now? At 3 minutes I am guessing you should be at the hospital. I am sure that your FIL will be fine with it - he must be excited and worried too and it surely is easier for him to tell DH to snap out of it than you?
Trying to work out how I am going to manage today - I have meetings booked, DS1 can not go to school but refuses to be left with DH, who is absolutely useless with illness.
Time for more caffeine, and I might just risk an empty and fill of the dishwasher seeing as it is now 6am and he hasn't been sick for a while.
ETA - I had a nose on the pregnancy thread, and I see waters have gone etc, time to ring your FIL I think if the hospital are happy for you to go in. Good luck - hope everything goes well!'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Good morning everyone  Looking dry here, so a run, washing on the line, gardening and mowing the lawn will be on the list for today
Rach - how exciting - your light is still on with contractions 3 mins apart - I'm impressed - I was calling for super strenght painkillers by now Good luck :j Good luck :j
My friend called yesterday night asking for the loan of our heat lamp (we use when we hatch chicks) as their puppies are imminent :j
Grateful - congratulations to you too
Hex - hope the sicky bug goes no further.
Off to find my list ...........:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0

ok ladies thanks, I am getting hot and sweaty now, have tried tens machine but not convinced it is helping...going to try and eat and then wake DH. wish me luck. TBH I'm going in with or without him now! ctx have been 3 mins apart for a couple of hours, when i phoned about 5am she said that's when to go in.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

            Morning flyladies & gents!
I have DD again today, so i'm not expecting too much. I guess it all depends on whether she is miss independent today or miss whiney-clingy.
Did manage to get ahead yesterday though so that's a bonus!
Can i just say thought that i HATE cleaning the bathrooms. It's my worst chore of the lot. So if i grumble a lot today, that's why.
I am hoping to wash all the windows and have asked mum to come round and watch DD while i do it cause it will make it far easier. I don't think she's that well though (mum, not DD) so i might not be able to do that. I hope so though, i have people coming to mine for my baby shower on Saturday afternoon and i want it all sparkley!
