I have my laptop on the arm of a (leather) sofa so it used to get pretty hot. I put it onto a plastic tray and had it like this for over a year, yes it still got hot but not so bad. A couple of weeks ago I put a book (which is slightly smaller than my laptop) in between my lappy and the tray... result... PERFECT!

    :)
Just run, run and keep on running!

I managed to get a laptop holder with external fan underneath from Lakeland Plastics. Its literally a holder that raises up and down, a gel wrist pad and the fan plugs in on a USB port on the laptop.

it worked like a dream during this recent heatwave and last years heatwave, and would definately recommend it to anyone. Think it cost about £22.00 if I remember rightly..

    Hope this helps someone..
