On e-bay you can get ones that connect to laptop , but there must be something that does or does not conduct the heat away from your lap.0

im using my laptop now and yes sometimes it gets hot but i have so many screens up i dont realise its that hot half the time and usually id stick something like a pillow between me if it didCertified Resident Wanty Stalker #001

Best not to use a pillow - it's liable to block the vents for the fan. Best to use a hard-backed clipboard or similar to rest the laptop on. There are coolers with fans which you sit the laptop on, but they just create an extra air movement to take the heat away & use power. Laptops are designed to turn on the fan when required - if the fan is permanently on then it needs a tech to give it a bit of a service - a good blast of compressed air can often do the trick.0

my laptops fan is on the back where the power cord and other ports are. so putting a pillow under it wont be necessarily blocking the vital flow of air for the fan.
but as mentioned do check where your fan is so you dont block in. and compressed air cans are brilliant and they also clean between your keys etc.Certified Resident Wanty Stalker #001
