HI,
Would be really grateful if anyone could help!!
My son is desperate to put some music on his mobile phone. We have been recommended a site where you can download cheap music and we have downloaded this to his laptop which is a Sony one( VGN-NR38E ).
We cannot now work out how to transfer the music to his mobile phone which is a Samsung Tocco lite.
A friend has told me you do it via blue tooth but we cannot seem to get it to work. Do I have to do something to the Laptop or do I need to buy a gadget to enable me to do this.
Any help would be gratefully received.

enable the bluetooth on both devices.(they usually have a blue light to say its on on a laptop and an icon on the phone screen.
Then allow them to search for devices, they should if they are close to each other recognise and identify each other. Then right click on the file you want to send, click on send to and bluetooth and it should just whip accross to the phone.:DGribby:D0 -

Other option would be to upload the music to say dropbox.com, log onto this site from your mobile phone then download the music. Bad idea if you're not going via your home router or you don't have unlimited data (check it's not simply 500 MB for example), or if there's a lot of music to transfer.0

Hi,
It's me again !!
Bought the bluetooth dongle as recommended on here. Have tried to set it up tonight. My son's laptop is saying that the music file has been transferred but when you try to access it on the phone it comes up as unsupported file type.
My son has had friends send music to him via their mobiles so I know that his phone is capable of receiving music. Has anyone got any ideas? Many thanks once again.0 -
did he use Pc studio , theres a link in my earlier post ??
The Samsung Tocco Lite supports these formats: eAAC+, AMR, WMA, FM radio, MP3, WAV
I would try MP3 format as its easiest and most universalEx forum ambassador

Sorry to sound completely stupid but what do I have to do on this site?
I am a complete novice where this is concerned!!
By using this site I presume it will somehow allow me to transfer music from my son's laptop.
Many thanks again and sorry for being such a pain!:o0 -
You could always use the cable that came with your phone it is the one that has oblong bits on the ends of the cable and one is smaller this goes into the phone and the bigger one (USB) goes into the laptop.
Once you have the tunes on the laptop open up windows media player and sync the phone to the laptop then drag the tunes you want on the phone to the right hand side box and click on sync this will put the tunes on the phone.
Hope this helpsSpending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0
