By the way...do you have to tear off the top part of the Olay vouchers before presenting them?

Does anyone know what Waitrose in South Harrow or Brent Cross is like?
I'm thinking of taking a trip to either store armed with some vouchers.
They are far too tempermental at my local Tesco.
    Thanks

Sorry, can't say specifically but most Waitrose stores are very good and know about their Head Office acceptance on money-off coupons. If you are unsure, either ask someone there first (before you spend loads!) or just buy £10-worth and try coupons with that.

Waitrose have been known to take your bill down to just a few pence!

    Hi

I was wondering if anyone had tried to use coupons at waitrose deliver on line?

IMHO you can only use money-off coupons instore, at Waitrose/Asda/Tesco. I don't think you can use them on online purchases as they wouldn't be on your bill and I can't see the delivery driver taking them (wouldn't you have already paid by then).

No, I'm sure you have to go in with them because they need the actual vouchers to send off and redeem. Mind you, Waitrose don't actually scan them at the till, they type in 'coupon £1' etc (which is why the Olay ones should be OK).

What is the policy on quick read vouchers as mine were refused at three waitrose stores, but I just saw on this thread that they have been accepted by other waitroses!

I haven't tried any Quick Reads in Waitrose because they don't sell books in our store. They tend to only take coupons for products that they stock.

It's worth a try though, they can only say yes or no!

  • Today I phoned my local Waitrose. The first CS lady I spoke to I believe really thought I was making the reply from Waitrose HO up !!! Second lady who worked on checkouts said it had to be a "reasonable" amount and if I went to the store armed with my vouchers and email from Waitrose she would call the Duty Manager to check to see if I was using an "acceptable" level of vouchers - she said it had to be a sensible limit eg £10 off a £50 spend.

Still deep down I am and always will be a Tesco Chick LOL

If Waitrose is like their sister company John Lewis I suspect that jobs worth you spke to is worrying abou her bonus!!
I got his email from waitrose Ho tonight:
    Dear

    Thank you for your e-mail.

Waitrose accept suppliers' coupons for any product which we sell, including Waitrose Food Illustrated coupons, whether or not the customer is purchasing the item for which the coupon was issued. Cashiers may accept any quantity of coupons provided that the coupons are valid.
