  • Morrisons have never taken any vouchers as money off shopping in my stores.

Waitrose: Others have an email from Waitrose head office confirming that they take as many coupons as you like up to any amount, whather you buy the item or not, so long as they stock it.

But individual store can override this?, by only accepting three and then 50%.

I am a Tesco shopper and it really does comes down to the person on the till at the end of the day. None of these stores appear to:

"Sing from the same hymn sheet"

  • No problem artydoll - if I had a choice between the 3 for voucher usage and the bonus points it has to be Tescos everytime.

There are quite a few from South Wales on here - I'm from Cardiff.

    Bye  Welshy x

  • I have had the email from Waitrose so PM me if you want a copy of it....not tried Waitrose yet as it is a bit of a hike from where I am in Cardiff and I don't have a very good voucher stash at the moment.

Last week at Waitrose I bought a few bits, as you have to spend over a fiver to park for free at my local store.

Gross spend about £6, just went to the 'basket only' queue and asked the guy if he could scan some coupons please? They are so polite in Waitrose, I have never met with a frosty stare (a la Tesco)!

Anyhoo, net amount I coughed up was....3p!!

  • I agree, Waitrose are very polite and consistent. At least you know what to expect when you hand over your coupons - a reduction in your total bill all done without any sneers or "I'll just call my supervisor" jobsworthy mob.

They even accept the coupons from their own magazine that state "to be used at Waitrose only" - and you you don't have to buy the product.

A recent example were the excellent Coast coupons for £1.99 & £1.00; absolutely no problem accepting them, and I'm not even sure I could see the magazine for sale on the shelves!!

As you may have guessed, I love Waitrose, not least cos they are only 3 minutes walk away!!!!
  • Waitrose is by far the easiest supermarket to use coupons in.

My stores just been refurbished and the guy on the checkout obviously didn't know how to use the new tills, so he calls the supervisor over, who just scanned the lot! £30 off about £35 shop!! GREAT i Thought!!!

Waitrose are well worth a try!!

  • Talking of waitrose I live very near to one and only shop there occasionally as they can be quite expensive (but he food is second to none) and wondered if I used my olay vouchers there (6 in total) does anyone know if they'll accept them?
    thanks

  • I'm sure they will accept them - although if they have another supermarket's name on then I'm almost certain they will not. If they don't have competitor's name on, I would hand over maybe 2 at a time.

    Hope this helps...
  • The small print on the Olay vouchers says superdrug on them, however, I believe several people have used them successfully
