    Hey Nohope

saw you have been posting this morning. sorry to have missed you.

is there anything I can help with?

    daffodils?

I am so sorry things are so tough for you right now. Have you tried asking your local supermarket if they have any vacancies? even part time. A perk is you get to know when they are doing whoospie reductions!

can't say you will get discounts as you won't until you have been there at least a year.

Please post on your thread too, so we can support you.

My mum has been to Auschwitz.
So moving she could harly talk about it.
We owe it to them all to never ever forget.

Everyone should visit Auschwitz. A lesson to be learned in humanity.

It is'nt something you can speak about. Its an emotional experience of the highest degree.

I visited with someone else. I think we walked round in virtual silence for, i don't know, around two hours. But i do remember, when we reached the exhibit, the case containing thousands of pairs of spectacles. They turned to me and said, lets go now. And we left. In silence

    Well said Beanie :T

I have never been to Auschwitz either but I have read a lot about it and feel it would be a very emotional trip but one I really want to make one day.

I have visited many museums, memorials and cemetery's dedicated to the two World Wars and always find them an emotional experience. When you look at what life was like for the people that lived through it or see the ages of the people that gave up their lives for us it is heartbreaking. And the sheer number of people that died  But they did it to give us a future.

And on a lighter note, but for them many of us would not have anyone to learn frugal ways from :money: They seemed to make something out of nothing, never wasted anything.

My Dad was born at the outbreak of WW1 and was in the RAF during WW2 when he married Mum. They told me many tales that I could share but I am sure I have rambled long enough.

I enjoyed reading the last few pages. You seem to have had some interesting discussions :rotfl:

My dad would have been 100 this june, were he still with us. I never was too good at remebering factual history, but i guess that means he was born in 1911?

Theres many a ' free ' and interesting day to be had, visting museums and the like. They are generally free entry. Have you been to the war museum, north? Its very innovative., in its design. Not to everyones taste, but worth a visit.

Definitely visit Auschwitz. I backpacked round poland in the days before it entered the EU, and no one could speak a word of english. I learnt a fair bit of polish at that time, just to get by. Everything was ridiculously cheap, at the time. Wieliczka salt mine in Kracow, is well worth a visit, too, and the square is fabulous. In fact, Kracow rates as one of my favourite cities, along with Brussels, and Sydney.

No hope i may not understand you but i like you very much. There is nothing wrong with you I am just trying to understand you so i dont misinterpret what you say. Blooming heck i can't believe what we did last night. I would cry if someone said anything critical of me. Carp. i didn't mean to criticise I didnt see it might feel that way. I just want you to trust people so you have a bit more fun and can chill a bit more. You are fine. I just want you to be happy and trust people.

SW, i don't understand you at all, as i know nothing about you, even less, then i'm sure you know about me. Maybe one day you will trust me enough to let me read your diary?

When my friend went she said there were no birds close by. I am getting a shiver down my spine thinking about it. Admire you all for going, i couldn't handle it. Am a coward, me. Watched Escape from Sobibor years ago and had nightmares for weeks. We are so fortunate.

Its true. There are no birds there or in the vicinity. I suspect its something to do with sixth sense.

not anymore, I do what I want within reason.

Yes please, PM me the website! I love looking at cars, especially classics.

Maybe one day i'll take you for a spin in my car, Aesop.

Its funny, my neighbours son was admiring my car, a few weeks ago. He asked if it was mine. I was astonished, as he drives a flash merc, that he would even be interested in my car. Apparently he'd seen someone driving one on you tube, and said it just makes you want to drive one. Lucky me, hey?
