It wasn't the company who still owes you money, by any chance? No I thought not.

I wish. :o I've given up on that one for now. Just an additional stress, and after a years worth of that particular stress, i'm willing to put that one down to experience, for now. That's bad. I do however have a letter ready and waiting and another 5 years? to act.......................That's if they are still in existence by then?
    Enjoy that Caribbean cruise.
Not for me, cruising. I would go stir crazy. :D
By the way I have pm'ed you about something completely different :)
Thanks xx Not got round to replying. Another of those mornings spent on the phone. It may not seem like much to an " ordinary " person, or someone in better health, but it's stress i can't cope with.

Is that nearly all the phone calls for today? I hope so. I still tense when the phone rings - although Mum's been in care for about a year and a half there is still a part of me that calls up frightening associations. I never knew what I would find out or guess at when she rang - and it was worse when she didn't. So I do feel for anyone who has to spend time on the phone.

Ani, no Caribbean cruise? Fair enough. Not many slugs to hunt there, anyway.

What have you done to the weather, or was it me? So much for drying the washing outside... it's chucking it down, and now we have thunder too.

Right. In the interests of not staying on the computer and phone all day, i shall make a trip to the council offices, therefore proving that even a sick ani in flight, can operate more efficiently and speedily than a " normal " human being or computer technology. One of these days..........................

No. Still waiting for the rents team to call me back. How is it i seem to have spent most of my days / mornings on the phone for the same issues, over the last, what, 6 months?

  • If I have the right end of a mucky stick some idiot sent your bank money not meant for you, and cos of DRO you can't do much about it. You don't need to tell DWP. It's not your money. It's not a lump sum over 6 k presumably and it's not income. It will be sorted. Meanwhile don't stress it

Another stressful day in paradise, and i'm exhausted again. I can't cope with those little everyday ordeals, or tasks, which other people can deal with. Every molehill becomes mount everest. It's true. If i can't cope with everyday functions, how the bh do you cope with life?

I have eventually had to talk to the insolvency team at the bank, as they are the only people now dealing with my banking affairs, apparently. Insolvency team. It's just dawned. I am insolvent again. Who cares. Actually. I don't. You still don't care too much about anything, when you reach this point. There is little i can do to increase money flow into my life. Not in this state. Actually, not even when i'm working. Bumped into someone from work and when they told me how much they were being paid, i thought, never again. Find some other mug. They've had enough, too. Everyone in the industry has had enough. Especially when you learn how much contracts are worth. Someone is making money along the line, and it's definitely not me.

Bank has now finally agreed to block all my accounts now they have notification of the dro, so at least i no longer have to worry about the fact i've no access to monitor the " happenings " on accounts. I also don't have to contact 100+ companies to make sure they don't have my bank details on file. Thats a shame. It took me 3 years to build a good relationship with the bank. All for nothing. I've lost my isa too, including my £1.01 i had in savings. You're not allowed savings when you are insolvent. Back to the drawing board. Another year for the dro to run its course, and another 6 years for it to fall off the records. I have done everything i possibly can to assist recovery of the money, and as far as i'm concerned, they have to do the hard work from now on. They have to write a letter to the bank saying it was an error, and i also want several copies of said letter, and also a letter stating they won't " chase " me for any money not recovered. The ball is in their court, and i can't make them do things. Not unless i put a gun to their head?

For the first time in 7 months, i got to speak to a real human being at the benefits dept at the council. I wonder how much of that had to do with mp involvement? That's a first. I've always been told previously, you are not able to speak to a real live human being. Surprisingly for a young man, they were the most helpful person i've met, ( bit prejudiced that, isn't it?) who now tells me i can apply for a discretionary housing payment, funded by the local council, as there is currently some money in the proverbial pot. Bit late now that isn't it? Could have done with this months ago. Still, i'll fill the form in regardless. At least the change seems to have increased my entitlement to hb and ctb. Who knows, before long, i may even receive full hb and ctb? Pigs might fly? I only have estimated figures at the moment, but young man said not to pay rent this week. Which is precisely what i thought. I've waaay overpaid the legal limit of rent and council tax. Someone who understands what i'm saying in plain english. How come no one has any brains? Just bog standard replies. He thinks the threats of repossession from the ha in idle conversation, are out of order. Makes you think, doesn't it. They have boundaries and are crossing the boundaries. I've never thought about it before, because i'm used to them threatening me. Certain staff, that is.

In all honesty, there isn't anything anyone can say to me anymore. Even threat of eviction. So what? I've been homeless before. It's no odds to me if i'm homeless again. If it's such a struggle to keep a roof over your head, then so be it. I don't fear being homeless anymore. I've never feared death. Most people live in fear of these things, don't they? We have to have this. We have to have that. Why? Because today's soceity says so. We have to be controlled by money. Or lack of it, in my case.

As an aside, my contents insurance arrived today. The policy has more than doubled. It's a poor mans policy and there is no point in changing it. It's risen from £4.86 to £!0 + . Is it really worth insuring what contents i have? £10 a month is alot of extra money. I used to know someone who didn't believe in insurance, despite the fact they owned their own home, stables, horses, the whole wack. None of it was insured. I never quite understood how they slept at night. What price a few bits of furniture? I'll just have to stop swinging from the lampshades.

What a day. I am very thankful for real human beings, and 100+ phone calls you don't have to make.

Did I hear you right - you may get more HB and CTB? All that hard work and fighting is bearing fruit? And you deserve a break.

I have to go out very soon but will be back ater by which time I may have taken it in better. Meanwhile I hope you can relax
afterthat and have a peaceful evening. :)
