Life after bankruptcy?

My guess is that you state that in a letter to their HR Department, copy in the company manager and your bank and leave it with them. I don't see that you can do more.
The question is, do i sit on it and hope it will go away / pretend it's not there, or do i inform those who should be informed, and risk having my benefits and dro stopped there and then? Someone has no idea of the implications that one second press of a button, has caused me.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Not showing off, are you?
Mozart - Polonaise from 'Viennese Sonatina', K. 439b, No. 5. I have it in F and can't even find it on t'internet so I'm guessing they've simplified it beyond recognition.
It's quite light and pretty really - but I think a week without playing and a few weeks of repetition and it's starting to sound wooden.
Ah, that's definitely not mozart then. :rotfl:Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

I think I see what you mean - it appears to be income therefore your benefits might be reduced? On the other hand as you don't have access to the bank account and it wasn't meant for you in the first place, you can't benefit from it.
Would the benefits board be able to advise?Miggy

Finally got through to finance. Their bank has put a trace on it, which of course takes time. All i have to do now is wait for my bank to tell them to take a running jump.
Off on that caribbean cruise now. Tarrah..............................

It appears to be income / savings, so benefits might be stopped, full stop. Then what?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

This is where you need advice from people who know what they're talking about... *steps back sheepishly*.
Might depend on how senior the benefits person is who gets to deal with it. After all at some point they will probably have dealt, if not with the identical situation, at least with something that has the same effect. You hear of people being paid twice and things like that.
Regarding the bank/company side of things, I think it does have to be paid back but it's not a priority? I have a feeling one of my colleagues was in a somewhat similar situation and paid back over a year. The company may have it in their terms and conditions - but as the fault is theirs I think they have to be as fair as possible what they ask of you.
It wasn't the company who still owes you money, by any chance? No I thought not.
Enjoy that Caribbean cruise.
By the way I have pm'ed you about something completely differentMiggy

It was not your money, and was incorrectly put to your account? the company are asking for it back? Is this in writing? Show the letter proving it wasn't you and they are asking for it back.
I wouldn't mention it at the moment but that is through real life experience, seems when you do tell things, you end up in a worse mess than before.0 -

Can't get a letter. Just asked them for one again.
That's my way of thinking, too. After everything i've been through, i think if i'm straight with people and tell them what's happened, some idiot will just press a button on a computer, and that will be that?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
