sofasofa - good / bad? Any advice?

Thanks all for your advice. Off to the showroom now,and if we think that they can get the sofabed through the door we'll get one - just such good deals. Cheers0

We ordered a sofa in early August which took 11 weeks to be delivered - not the stated 4-6 weeks on the order confirmation or the ‘usually within 4 weeks’ on your website. We were never contacted by them and had to chase for information. A first delivery date of about 10 weeks was provided. This was cancelled the day before delivery as apparently they had no fabric! I had arranged to be off work to be in and could not cancel day-off.
As the sofa is not what we expected - reminded us of sitting on a sofa in a caravan - we have asked for it to be collected as per the promised ‘complete peace of mind’. We were given a collection date 5 weeks and 3 days after we them AND told it had to be immaculate as when delivered. With 3 children this effrectively means we cannot use a room for 5 weeks in order for the sofa to be returned as new.
Customer service is poor and abrupt at best. E.g. phoning to ask for the sofa to be collected we were abruptly told to email. We emailed and got no response. We phoned to be told that they had written. We have received no letter but have now had an abrupt phone call stating the 5 week and 3 day response with a take it or leave it attitude.
After complaining they gave us a new collection date of today between 2 and 5 - again I took time off work. This afternoon I was phoned to be told they were coming between 6 and 9. At 8.30pm I was phoned to be told by a driver who clearly did not care at all about service that they were not coming today at all as they did not have time...
I wish I had never had any dealings with them and certainly will not ever again. I wait to see when they will ever come and get the sofa and give me my £700 back - they've had it for 3 1/2 months already..,0 -
If you even think about SOFA WORKSHOP then you need to AVOID.
delivery team missed their slot and gave us 10 mins notice (which they charge you for deliveries)
Sofa arrived SNAGGED and STAINED and our removable covers are now back in the warehouse getting fixed.
We have a £1700 Sofa with no covers on it at the moment.
No compensation offered and a rather shi*ty email from the company director.
Sofa.com are meant to be good0
