  • Bit of a glitch on the 2 for £15 toys. A couple of the toys have been reduced ie Littlest Pet Shop Deco Pets reduced to £6.66 I added Hama Beads Starter Set £9.99 and it took £4.98 off this set. Both items came to £11.67 a bit better than if 3 for 2.

BeenieCat thank you I went back to Argos and they very kindly refunded what I'd purchased yesterday and put through 3 toys for the price of two. If it wasn't for your comment I wouldn't have gone back so thank you x

    Thanks to the OP.

I have just received my 3 for 2 Argos order (Star Wars lego), but the boxes are not sealed and covered in ?soot!

Will probably have to take them back to a shop because of the poor condition they are in I will not be able to give them as gifts to anyone!!

Thanks for this - just picked up my reservation from Argos, got 3 x polly pocket sets, 2 x baby cd players and 1 x aqua art for £40. That's the school friends and a couple of bits for our LOs sorted x

I shouldn't have read this. A Mobigo, a Storio and an Imaginext space shuttle for my pampered two year old and £109 on my credit card. Oops. Well they'll do for my Christmas stash and now I must stop shopping until I pay off some debt. I'm sure the little man will be happy though.
  • I just had to return one of my 3for2 toys as my nephew wasn't keen on it. I'd bought 5 toys at 19.99 and my nephew's toy at 18.99, so got £38.98 off. Customer services said that as my nephew's toy was the cheapest, they wouldn't refund anything even if I returned it, so I might as well just keep it! I thought they might refund 2/3rds of the price which has happened in the past in different stores.

Anyway, in the end I exchanged it instead for another toy, at 19.99. But because the toy I was returning had been 18.99, I had to pay £1 difference, even though if I'd bought the exchange toy in the first place, it would have been free in the 3for2. I didn't want to quibble over a quid though.

Just thought I'd post in case other people need to know the store policy on refund/exchanging with this offer.

I took an item back today, fully sealed with my receipt to exchange for another item of exactly the same price and was refused point blank!!
I spoke to the Manager who even telephoned through to their Head Office to check and said that as the 3 for 2 offer had ended there was no way they could exchange and the only option was for me to bring all 3 toys back for a refund.
I argued that I had not been advised this when i bought the items but the Manager was having none of it!!
I will just have to take my item back WITHOUT the receipt for an exchange i think ;)

Will this be running again this year do you think? X
Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue. Only fools are statues every day. (15.09.12 cant wait!)

I've been waiting on this too, got some great lego gifts last year on 342 and all the toy story characters.

    I hope it happens!
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)

It would be nice if it does come back! I could get most of the plastic junk my lot have been hankering after all in one go :rotfl:
