Thank you. I'm a big panic now though, no time to prepare!

I have been in touch with a few agencies, I think it was Edward & Pearce I emailed but never got a response.

Going to get a book of stamps and send my CV off to a few schools, will work through the phone book as and when I can afford the stamps... when did they get so expensive??
E-mail is not good as recruitment consultants never reply to them

you need to visit the office and speak to them - and then badger them constantly to get anywhere
  • :)Hope the interview went well.
  • This problem arose when psychology started to be taught in schools - it is an enjoyable and easy subject

Psychology is not 'easy' by any means. Anyone who classifies it as such has probably never studied it, at least not beyond A-Level.

A BSc psychology course at any remotely decent uni, including ex-polys, involves a certain degree of intense statistical and mathematical analysis. Are you familiar with the student nightmare that is SPSS, for instance?

Added to that, the theory side of things can be incredibly tedious, not enjoyable at all.

I'm not a psychology grad, and have no real reason to defend the discipline, but it's certainly not 'easy'.

Just want to ask for advice yet again.

The interview went well, I was told I would hear from them with a decision last week. I checked they would let me know either way, and was told yes, she personally would call me.

I still haven't heard anything. We have had really bad snow though, and many places were closed from Wednesday onwards last week.

How long would you give it before chasing up? I don't want to look impatient, but really... I am! I want to know!!

Give them a call, shows willing and it certainly won't hurt.
  • Just call and ask. If they are closed for a snow day there will be some type of automated response telling you when they are likely to reopen, so either way calling will put you at ease.

    And Good Luck.

Thanks for the advice. I tried ringing but no answer... I had trouble getting through to arrange the interview though so that doesn't mean they are closed. I am going to give it til tomorrow and send an email.

Just wanted to share this... I set up an email address just for job applications, not given the email address to anyone else. Today alone I have received 47 scam job offers. Unbelievable!!
