She spat a scallop out into a napkin.

    They can't edit that!

    So!!???

She didnt like it.. what else was she supposed to do? I would have done exactly the same. The last guy spat a strawberry out all over the table and didnt even have the courtessy to use a napkin and no-one is bashing him.

To be fair to the OP, what was she meant to do wit the food in her mouth that she didn't like? Spit it on the floor? Swallow it and throw up?

I'm not sure about it being edited to make to OP look bad though. OP even said on her night she was glad they all turned up as she didn't think they would and said on a number of occasions said that she had been rude/had gone too far/was going to behave etc...

    Hi,

I think first post was looking for the sympathy vote, which worked for a while, until the show started tonight.

I agree with the comment about cats on work tops,.

Well, at least its only on 4od for another 29 days :D

I think opening up this thread was asking for trouble and hopefully you stopped reading after the first few comments.

Brave for going on in the first place, but if you are really serious about food - try Masterchef next time :)

Surely if the guy was that bad they would have shown it as it would make better TV?

I do think there was a fair bit of editing going on, it would be more surprising if there wasn't. I don't feel the OP's reactions to the 1st bloke were all that bad, (especially if there were bits we didn't see) bit over sensitive and a tad embarrassing maybe but that doesn't make her a bad person, I'm sure we've all overeacted or gotten upset over stuff at one time or another.

That said, no editing in the world could be blamed for some of the comments by the OP. Perhaps she thought she was offering constructive criticism but it came across as nit picking and unpleasant imo. I also kind feel her interpretation of events isn't the same as the majority of posters here but whether that's down to the OP being overly sensitive or programme editing, who knows.

Perhaps we should all put ourselves up for this program, it might be a useful tool to help us see ourselves as others do. :D I'm not sure I wanna know what you lot would think of me. :rotfl:

OP, forget about the bad bits, remember the good bits and maybe use the experience as a learning tool to help understand how you come across to others.

    You're a braver woman than I. :D

I was very interested to watch this programme as I recognised the name Dean Foy.

I have a feeling this might be the same Dean Foy who played Joseph in a school production of 'Joseph and his amazing technicolour dreamcoat', in Coventry, in which he was also amazing. And I have a photo of him in that, which I must find.

Also I have a copy of the programme signed just by him and also a handwritten review of his about the film 'star wars' which I just happened to come across lying in the street - how strange was that!

I did find the OP slightly rude at the first hosts meal, not spitting the food out because I do that too, I can't swallow something if it's either horrible or I feel like i'm going to choke on it. But the attitude about the steak was a bit rude. On the other hand though, I found that guy really rude towards the OP, why did he keep going on about what she did outside of her family life? Why did it matter? He was making out that he was interested but to me he seemed like he was trying to put her down.

I was in absolute stitches when Dean cried at the cats ashes, i'm sorry I had tears! :rotfl:

I think the OP was really brave for going on CDWM, I love the show but no way would I go on it. And she didn't come off that bad, none of them did really, i've seen a hell of a lot worse!
