Just checking and Peterborough does have Travelodges now - they didn't have when we lived there - so checking them out but so far I see that the nearest to town (actually in town) is £35.75 per room per night with one at Alwalton which is half a mile from city is £29. The one just off the city centre at £35.75 is the other side of city to the railway station but you are only talking 1 mile
