Hi there MF, just read this one and had to say something. We all do this one - the impressing bit. It is a natural part of the processes of itegration in fact I think it has some bery ancient meaning - in pre-historic times our life was possible only as part of a group and to be part of a group there has to be something that attracts you to it and you have to implress the members of the group so they admit you. Togetherness (groups or couples) is about what keeps people together and it is about each being impressed, impressing and getting something in return (this can be security, warm feeling, love, material things, sex...).
So trying to impress is natural. Some of us (me included sometimes and particularly in the past) try too hard to impress and end up being a doormat. A very wise man the other day told me the following: 'You bend down backwards and you eventually break.'.
Don't break Money Fritter - leaving and coming back hardly ever works (and I am being too English in this; it never works). Everytime I got dumped I thought that I'll never love anyone like this again - true. I found a guy whom I love so much better. And the difference is that he loves me too.

And where is Porge?????? in case noone realises (i think even the people in another galaxy know) I miss him.
Umm no - I am not an economist. That was just what the degree was called. My main subject was accounting, we did have to understand some of the economist stuff as well but that was only a small par of it.
Hope everyone is having a good day. I shall start my first HHC NOW..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Wonderful words Firewalker - Frit has plenty to think about here
Well, I have had a very lazy day today - decided to not go down to car boot this morning so Mr 3Dogs went on his own - and I stayed in bed until about noon  got up, had my breakfast, then took dogs out, fed them and popped around to my friend's as she is back from her parents today. she has had a lovely time with them, a good giggle with her Mum, and is feeling much better in herself. She has lots of hospital appointments coming up so hopefully they can get her sorted out. And she is ringing my friend who is looking after her little dog Misty, to get her back home soon - she misses her
Mr 3Dogs had a good day at the car boot although it seemed slow, so he is pleassed with that :T
We are both watching the footie on Sky+ Everton v Liverpool sorry Frit not going well for you is it then we'll watch the other game (Man City)
SW texted earlier - still at her tutoring so will be back on later
The weather is glorious here today, and SW said it's the same down her way. I hope everyone else is enjoying their Sunday

Just been round to friend/neighbours for a while - she had asked us to look out for an armchair for her - the higher sort, easier to get out of - well the one yesterday went too high at auction but we had told her that we had a pair in our storage unit, one of which was to take up to me Mam's next time we go, and she could try the other one till something better comes along. Anyway Mr 3dogs had got the chair out (it was right at the back of the unit) and brought it home for her today, so we took it round and she is delighted with it. It is a lovely chair, with just very slight wear at front of arms where you'd hold to get up, and the material is lovely. She said it was very comfy and she could get on and off it so easy, and that she just needed a footstoll and she it would be just right she as little legs. Well, Mr 3Dogs popped round ours and came back with just the thing. We'd had a full suite in the same style and material a few years ago the sofa of which is now at me Mam's which is why we bought the pair at auction a month or so ago, and we still had the footstool that went with it. We had been using it as a step for the dogs to get on the bed, but we had another smaller stool there for them now as well, so we didn't need it any longer. It looks lovely round there and she is all set now, as she struggled getting up from her leather sofa. We had paid £50 for the pair so asked for £25 for that one but she insisted on giving us £50 after all the help we'd given her lately. Everyone happy :j :j
