Susan do you keep wanting to hug him? i do? Money you will get soo squished. Isn't he adorable. I didnt think scientists could be in touch with their emotions how blinkered do i sound. They see much more than we mere mortals do. If you had been a physicist you would know about the stars and the universe. Now that is mindblowing too.

The reason I loved his books, were not just the story but the characters. The characters were real, they were flawed, the heroes were not perfect. And when the time came, they stood up for what was right.
Druss the legend, skillgannon, awesome.
Also the heroes did not always save the day, or when they did it came with a price, sometimes they dead
David Gemmell I will miss you
You enriched my life with your wonderful story telling
I agree with you on his characters - they were normal people with greatness thrust upon them - as you say, the greatest heroes. He was a wonderful story teller -you felt you were there, in that time and place and felt what his characters felt and went through. To be honest, I did not know that he had died. There was a load of his books in a lot hubbie got at auction the other week and I picked out one I had not read before. i will get round to reading it.Money_Fritter wrote: »Thanks, I dont know whether you have read my 'Flawed Hero' poem that I posted on my diary. I actually wrote that after watching the eposide of lost were charlie died drowing in that underwater station, saving people. I cried my eyes out and then thought he was a flawed hero and wrote the poem.
No I hadn't but I will now. I really felt for Charlie - the character was vunerable and that came through with his acting and the story line. I cried too weatching his death in the underwater stationMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Now what is the scariest film you have ever seen? I want to know. What are man people scared of i am scared of mice, wasps, bees (a bit), heights, big people, bad people.

In recent times the saw 1 was amazing, for the ending.

It is called Flawed Hero.
Never judge a book by its cover,
Make sure you read the whole thing,
Never judge a person by their face,
Always reserve opinion just in case,
People always have good deeds, trapped within them, you just have to look,
Some find them difficult to show,
Others find them easy and they glow,
People make mistakes and that's true,
But that's what defines us through and through,
So real hero's are unique, they are average, they are flawed, but they are neat,
Sometimes humanity makes me wonder,
If living and continuing is a blunder,
But once in a while you read a story,
About a normal person doing good,
Not doing good for glory, not doing good for a story,
Just doing a good dead because its right,
Even though you may be weak and it might fright,
So this poem is for all of them,
Average people who do extraordinary things,
I salute you, I hope you never change,
The world needs you and long may you reign.

Oh I forgot to say, we have a moose in the hoose at the moment. We are surrounded by fields so are bound to get them. the year we moved in we hadthem, so put traps down and got 3, then we had no more till now. When Mr 3Dogs got up this morning at 3 am, when he came through and put the light on in the kitchen, there was this little mouse sitting on Billy's food bowl, nibbling on a piece of his dry dog food. He looked up at Mr 3Dogs in shock, then scuttled away, under the kitchen cabinets. W knew there must be one about becase the dogshave been sniffing around the kitchen cupboards and in the hall and sittng room. They were doing it earlier in here, so mouse was, or had been, behind the TV stand or cupboard. I'll have to hunt the traps out tomorrow and get them down.Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Unfortunately there will always be war, as it makes money selling weapons. I dont think there was ever any weapons of mass destruction. Now don't get me wrong Sadam was an evil man, but the justification and the innocent lives lost was wrong.
I just think there will always be war, as the human race is greedy and always wants power.
I think the best quote comes from the terminator. When a young John connor turns to the terminator (Arnie) and says 'We are not going to make it, the human race, I mean'
The Terminator (Arnie) responses by saying
'Its in your nature to destroy yourself'
I think that sums it up, we have love, music, and story writing. we can do great things, but we can also wreck havoc on the earth.DFW#972 LBM2 (09/07/12) £25938.84; Current £23783.35;Credit Credit Card1 £128.47/£6424.24 (2%);Credit Card2 £443.86/£15663.25 (2.8%); Overdraft £0/£2500 (0%)0
