Lost is the best show ever, so spiritual.

I just love the characters. Everyone of them is flawed, but good to some extent. That is a real hero, not one that wears a cape

I loved Lost - didn't watch the first few episodes then caught one when I was up North visiting me Mam and was hooked, so had to catch up - I first saw it from the tail enders story so didn't know anything about the main body of the plane until they met up. Then I caught the earlier episodes and understood hestory line - well you know what I mean, I did not see the last 2 episodes as we got cut off from Sky just then  we are back with Sky but they haven't repeated them, I don't think. Someday I will see them and understand it all - I don't think

Oh and I love that Money Fritter "Everyone of them is flawed, but good to some extent. That is a real hero, not one that wears a cape"

SW of course you are right about it being a true family time at Christmas - it's just me being humbug about it. I do love buying for my neice and my 2 great-neices (girls aged 5 & 9) - I love seeing their faces when they open their mystery boxes I make up for them

Me too. We are going to be good friends. And i am going to get you married off my friend if it is the last thing i do!!!

Do you get scared in scary films? What's the film where the oriental lady came out of the tv and people died. I was so scared and i watched it on a Sunday (holy day just to be safe), with the light on in the day time and with my friend on the other end of the phone as i was so scared! I am such a chicken.

What's the scariest film you have ever seen? All films make me cry. It is awful. I am such a wimp.

Again, I'd never watched 24 but caught a couple of episodes when looking after me Mam for a week or two - liked it, so watched it when I got home, but just to the end of that series. I've not watched them all.

Stargate SG1 was my favourite - seen them all many times. I did not get into the new one Stargate Universe though. Fringe is another one I liked but stopped watching. Might watch the new series though. Mind you I think it's because I'm always on here now, so don't really watch the TV as much

  • David Gemell was my favourite author in fantasy, I was really upset when he died, he died before his time.

The reason I loved his books, were not just the story but the characters. The characters were real, they were flawed, the heroes were not perfect. And when the time came, they stood up for what was right.

    Druss the legend, skillgannon, awesome.

Also the heroes did not always save the day, or when they did it came with a price, sometimes they dead

David Gemmell I will miss you

You enriched my life with your wonderful story telling

Fringe is awesome, season 1 was fantastic, it was a great balance of paranormal, suspense and comedy. I have not got sky so need to watch series 2. As for Stargate SG1, that was awesome 2.

Thanks, I dont know whether you have read my 'Flawed Hero' poem that I posted on my diary. I actually wrote that after watching the eposide of lost were charlie died drowing in that underwater station, saving people. I cried my eyes out and then thought he was a flawed hero and wrote the poem.

I cried my eyes out in the last one. I am a big softie, I always cry at sad films

Perhaps that's another reason I don't watch films ;) I cry at them too

Mind you, we do watch old films and war films - Mr 3Dogs loves WW2 films, preferably ones where the americans don't always win the war with us Brits not doing anything. Loved Saving Private Ryan though. But love watching The Longest Day - oh that's got me singing the theme tune now - and The Few, Battle of Britain, Battle of the Bulge, The Cruel Sea, etc
