So how much in £ do you win in a year???

My totals are in my signature. Have to say that last year over £700 of my total was from books! I haven't won any big value stuff (think the most expensive thing i've won is a mobile) but all the little things add up. I use RRP though so it would never have actually cost that much to buy the stuff I've won but then again I wouldn't have been able to buy most of the stuff either! My only cash win was £100, i'm still waiting for the lottery win

Wow you guys must be lucky or I am just unlucky haha! Not had much time to comp this year but had a few smaller prizes which I am happy with....for now! x

Congratulations & well done for all your wins! As you can see from my signature, very dry spell for me at the moment but will keep going!!!

All my wins have been what most prople would consider small, but they really mount up and they're going to make the difference come christmas, still dream of the 'big' win but more than delighted when a book or DVD turns up. Like one of the earlier posters I am so happy when people win from any comps I manage to find, and that keeps the motivation going and also knowing that everyone has the chance of the dream win.

i never bother adding them up to see how much they're worth, have had umpteen cash prizes, £1,000 cash prizes, loads of childrens prizes, dvd's, cd's, holiday breaks, stuff for the house etc, could go on for ages suppose if i added them up would be loads :eek: i don't think it's about adding up how much it's all worth
i just enjoy entering the comps, posting the comps & generally being part of this great community on mse,

I've been entering competitions since around july 2009 but didn't start entering daily til around august, during bonkers.

My total is near on 50k, biggest win was a brand new car, then numerous cash prizes. Other wins include holidays, mobile phones, wiis, xboxes, ps3s and in the last 3 months had 3 plasma tvs.

Big thanks to all the posters, wouldn't win half off it without you xxx

WOW!!! I would like a bit of your luck please - that is amazing!!

I have won about 6k worth of stuff in nearly 2 years of comping I think that is amazing but I know a lot of people win a lot more than that.

If I was comping though I would prob be internet shopping so the amount I have saved that way must be incredible x

I don't know how much my wins have been worth...and to be honest ...don't care. I've had a couple of 'big' wins...a holiday to Austria,:D a £1000 to spend in Hobbs,:D a three day break in 5* hotel..:Dto name a few. Never won a TV, phone, games console or anything electrical yet...but had some amazing 'money can't buy' wins that I would never have had a chance to do otherwise. I am more than grateful for all my wins.:T I try to give a lot away...if I can't make use of them. Thank you to all the ops who post.:beer:

OK since joining MSE about a month ago, I've entered various competitions now and then... often deadlines are for the end of the month so there haven't been immediate results.. lol i've been useless with the Scotch tape one, I did win 34p off voucher to begin with i think, but lol I thought may be that's what everyone wins and so I didn't save it... but since that one time, i've not revealed a present even worth that!

Anyway, with your wins, did you all just spontaneously receive emails after having entered the competitions in the distant past? Or do you keep an eye on deadlines? Is there some sort of strategy? I'm convinced I haven't won anything from the, ermm, 15 competitions I've entered... Do you enter a competition every single day and do you enter the ones advertised here, or are there other treasure troves I'm not aware of?

I am desperate to win car.. passed my driving test (2nd time and a grand total of 1 minor) at the start of September.. so a car, or anything with wheels (even a used car but with insurance paid for) would be a dream come true!

Sorry to disillusion you but although it is down to luck you would have to be very lucky to win something decent by doing only 15 comps but not impossible I suppose it could happen. I think 1 win in every 500 competitions is probably closer to the mark. Keep going though you will win eventually.
