Gosh i hope i have as much luck as you guys, i havent been comping long and so far won nothing, infact i have never won anything my whole life so i feel im due a biggie lol
  • I love the IWIWIW pages too, I often felt that big money comps like ITV prizes were never won by a real person, what was to stop them making up a name? I'm thrilled that MSErs have won the big money comps and just goes to show - you never know what or when you may win!

I have won quite a few little bits since comping, The best being a £100 H&M voucher and the golden snail flip cam. I enter the smaller comps, DVDs, books and such that I can use or give as gifts for Christmas.

I dont think I would add up how much its all worth, Its just a lovely feeling to take part in competitions - especially ones that require effort, and sometimes win!

    (Woo 100th post!! lol)
    Wishing you all good luck!

I've probably won about £35,000 worth of prizes. (£30k of that from the Oasis one) For me it's not the value of money that something is worth, it's how much the prize has made someone happy. I comp for fun and having a prize that is suitable for myself or family. (or as a raffle prize for a Charity each year).

Wins that are useful are always a plus for me :) Year supply of toilet roll was a great win :D

I have been comping for 4 years and although its hard to put a value on some prizes I would say it varies year by year, anything from approx £2000 in my first year to approx £17000 last year. As far as cash is concerned by biggest cash win has been £1000 in a pepsi comp. The monetary value isn't to me as I am not looking to sell stuff , I just want to get some treats for my family that we could not normally afford. Prizes like holidays, and TV's are big prizes to me whereas you describe them as a "few little things". I suppose each person has their own views on what constitutes big and small prizes.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A
