Help! My iPod thinks I'm in Liverpool!

I was in Liverpool 2 months ago... I first noticed it on the National Trust app, and assumed I must have told it I was there, but couldn't work out how to tell it I'm not. Then I downloaded Vouchercloud and had to manually choose my town cos it kept giving me Liverpool offers. And now Facebook Places tried to stick me in Lidl on Prescot Road...
How can I get it to accept I'm in lovely Cumbria? BTW I've a bog standard 8gb iPod Touch.
Any advice gratefully accepted!

Have you tried a restore? In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0

Do you mean Reset all settings? If so, yes I have tried that and it didn't work.C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0

You think you've got problems.:)Help! My iPod thinks I'm in Liverpool!
Can't help, but just received a voucher from Sainsburys for use in my local store, according to them, Bramingham Park, Luton.
Never been to Luton, also 200 miles is a bit far for a weekly shop.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Remember your iPod has not got GPS, so it might be basing your location on your IP address which might be 'registered' in Liverpool.
Does it show Liverpool if you go here: http://whatismyipaddress.com/ ?0 -
Thanks robt but no - my ip address is apparently registered in Leeds! I know my iPod doesn't have GPS, but when I was staying with the in-laws in Surrey, the NT app showed me properties local to them, and the map now homes in on my sister's street, so definitely based on a location I've really been.
Curiouser and curiouser...C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0 -
How about if you go into the iPod settings, disable location services for the apps in question - then when you run the app again it might request to use your current location?
Or remove the app and install it again from the App Store.0 -

Interesting. That site shows me to be in Stockton-On-Tees when I am in Edinburgh.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Tried that and it still thinks I'm at my sister's place!C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0 -
Does the actual app have a setting for you to set its default location?0

The NT and Facebook ones just place me in Liverpool and there doesn't seem to be a way to tell them I'm not! I know it's not terribly important in the great scheme of things, but it's annoying (and weird!).C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0
