Thanks Mad - amazing what a glass of wine can do!
Went to T's today as needed quite a bit of shopping and wanted to try the NOTW/Morrisons moc. It should have been a picnic - famous last words!
Presented my mocs at end of transactions -3 x appletiser, 2 x Airwick, 2 x lenor etc etc £5 moc as above, £8cs, & few others. I was told by young male ca cannot take cond spend as money after mocs was too low to accept. as I knew I had been overcharged on some items (DTD);) I said I would go to CS. Bad move as the worst dragon was on. Just my luck. She hates mocs and acts like she personally owns T's. So said sorry but I need several things sorting out on my bill. firstly I had bought several small items for party bags that should have been 3 for 2. After 10 minutes trying to get through to her and much huffing & puffing she grudgingly called for someone to go and check the prices and eventually gave me the money owed. Next, I said I have been overcharged on the toothpaste (19p & was charged 50p). She again huffed puffed & called for a second person to check this out. Girl came back saying that the toothpaste I had bought was the wrong one (incorrect as I had bought the same thing a few days ago at 19p). CS dragon looked as though she would burst with satisfaction at thwarting me until I said I wanted a refund - she the turned puce and put her hands in her pocket sorry till and agin gave me the money owed. Next I said can you explain why cashier wouldn't take this cond spend when I had fulfilled the shopping spend required. (By this time several people were watching & listening) and 25 minutes had passed. She then made a great show of having to lock the till and say to all the waiting people that she didn't know how long it would take to sort this problem out - doing her best to make sure they knew it was my fault. After another 10 minutes she came back and said it was refused because after bogofs etc the amount owed was less than the £80 spend required - to which I replied they have always been taken before. dragon shrugged her shoulders and flung it back at me. By this time I was wishing a big hole would open up but there was one more problem to sort out. The cashier had missed off my NOTW £5 moc for some reason. I told the dragon and her face changed from puce to red - I thought she was going to have a fit before she stormed off to see the cashier concerned. Well, by this time the mocs from till had gone to the cash office, another manager became involved etc etc. I wanted to run out but tried to hold my nerve and wait for my fiver. Eventually she came stamping back threw a five pound note at me muttering under her breath all the time. I was soooooo embarrassed it will be a while before I show my face there again.
PS A lovely male supervisor who had witnmessed this came over to me and said I should contact HO & customer services and complain about the way I was treated. Don't think I dare.:o0 -

How awful TS
don;t let the .............. get away with it. You were doing nothing wrong and should complain.
What happened to customer service, this is just ridiculous to humiliate a customer like this. Complain, and homefully you will get a full apology from them

she could go to the library, round my way, they offer free internet for 1 hour, do they do that at yours? or you could do it for her?0 -
Thrifty Sister! That is absolutely no way for someone to behave! Who cares if she thinks she owns Ts or has shares in them! You are a customer and there are polite ways of talking to people! Using the words, " I am very sorry, Madam, but we are unable to accept your voucher as it takes you below the threshold" "I appreciate you may have been able to use it before, but we cannot accept it today"... things like that are polite, customer service. Not humiliate you in front of everyone!
Complain to the head honcho at Ts and I am sure you will receive an apology letter and a nice T giftcard. It is the least you deserve!0 -
