Warning for O2 IPad users
If you are using your IPad on O2 then be warned they are cutting their data plans from £15.00 for 3GB to £15.00 for 2GB the daily rate has also been chopped from £2.00 a day for 500mb to 200mb. O2s excuse was that they are promotional tariffs only. As these are rolling 30 day contracts they can change them at will.
Here is O2 original press release no mention of the tariffs been promotional .

I hate to say it, but O2 are at liberty to change their tariffs when they want. The only thing they can't do is change it mid contract and on a 30 day rolling contract, you can find the price (or data allowance) going up and down with each new month.
Consumers have the right to chose and there's lots of competition out there Switching iPad sim is an awful lot easier than switching phone sims, as there's nothing stored on the sim and you don't have to get a PAC code. Unless you are only able to get a signal from O2, there are providers out there that will give you more for your money. Three have a 30 day rolling contract giving you 10Gb for £15 (clicky) so if you are worried about O2 going from 3 to 2, SWITCH!!!!In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
I assume that users have already pre-paid for the iPad?
Why not just switch to the standard 3Gb mobile broadband tariff - although I guess there is a tie in there.0
