Firstly I can't believe you have got the buyer to wait this long, I think a considerable number of buyers wouldbn be considering negging you about now especially since she has had to go to an INR to get her money. Just refund her, don't hang this out nay longer, unless you keep the buyers goodwill you could easily lose a claim from RM if they randomly choose her to ask about her delivery.

If the item does track to delivery at some point in the future before your claim is paid out then you won't be able to claim from RM (you've gotta love recorded-this is another reason for not using it), however thta is completely immaterial now as all you need to do is refund buyer and worry about everything else later. This is only a big deal because you've made it a big deal, item fails to arrive, seller refunds. No need for daily contact or 'nice' emails all buyer wants is her money which she has had to go to dispute to get.

Out of interest read this thread. OK the seller is way out of line, which isn't the case with you, but it does show how important it is to deal with the buyer and to sort out refunds etc without mucking the buyer around for too long.

    Hi Soolin,

I have not got the buyer to wait this long, she offered. She really wanted the dress and said she would wait and see for another week or so. I offered her a refund on monday but she has been holding out. Im not sure how the INR works as Ive never had to deal with it but she has stated in her message that she has done this as she is away all of next week and would like a refund if it has not turned up on Monday (2 weeks from date it was posted) and this way she can make sure whatever happens goes through Ebay. Im fine with this as I will be refunding her! I am happy to give the refund now, without hanging around, as I was on Monday but she has requested it after Monday, if it has not arrived.
I think you assumed she opened this dispute due to me not refunding her, im sure in that case she would have opened a Paypal claim? Maybe she doest know how that works or maybe im missing something and cant see the severity of INR. I have offered to refund twice and this is all in the contact emails we have had through Ebay... the daily messages are from her, she has replied to my messages within 24 hours, I have replied to hers. She has asked to wait in the hope it arrives and I have accepted that, she has also gave me daily messages on her Postal activities. Keeping her goodwill is why I have replied and not ignored her.

I cant seem to see the thread you referred to, is there a way to search for it.....I would like to have a read of it out of curiosity and interest, thanks! :)

The severity of INR is that your buyer hasn't got the item they paid for quite a long time ago.

I would refund her now and stop worrying, otherwise she is going to get her money back, whether Paypal or eBay handle the dispute.
