Stove question

I'm not sure this is the best place but I know a few stove men lurk on here!
I'm getting a wood stove fitted soon but have just realised I've got a 2-3" high gap at the bottom of the wall that the stove is going to be against (where the skirting board was).
I'm having wood floor fitted with a glass hearth on top so it will be quite visible.
What can I do do cover this - I'm guessing I wouldn't be allowed skirting behind the stove as it would be classed as flammable.

Pop in to a local fabrication shop, ask them to knock you up something simple in stainless steel to fill gap behind stove, most will do this for beer tokens.
To give you an idea, have a look here for profile idea's. BTW I have no affiliation to manufacturer.
