No, I am an owner-occupier. I live in Hampsead Garden Suiburb, which is a very nice area, if a little dull! Highly recommended if you can find a house that suits you.

You might want to check this one out.
It's got a tiny garden, but you absolutely literally have Hampstead Heath on your doorstep - two or three large strides and you are there!

    Hi GDB2222,

I went to see that house. It is really tiny. It has been reduced in price from 1.35 to 1.25, but it is still there...

We will see, as I say, I think house prices will fall in 2011.

Having said that, I would buy if I found the right house, irrespective of what I think of house prices...

So, I guess it is wait and see...

  • We left Muswell Hill when our eldest turned one, as we felt it was becoming a bit too urban for our liking. Shame really as it was a fab place to live as a childless couple. Not surprised that the council was unhelpful, Haringey council is rubbish.

Does it have to be north of the river? We then moved to the richmond borough which is wonderful for families. Several outstanding primary schools and wonderful parks. Look at SW14 for lovely houses within one of londons safest neighbourhoods. Commuting on the trains is also much more pleasant than the tube into the city. TBH i would not want to raise kids in NW6. NW3 or Hampstead Garden Suburb are fab though!!
