  • Hi mummyp

I've been having the same problem with my Alba tv for the last couple of weeks but like you I can't find my receipt but do have the e-mail confirmation.
Did you go into the Argos store and were they very helpful? Did they pay for the tele to be sent away and did they give you a tele whilst they were trying to fix it?

    Hi Clare

I phoned up customer services, who told me to go into my store with the exact date and time that i bought my tv and catalogue number and they would ring head office to find out if any were sold on that morning and then it would be the store's decision whether to honour it or not.. when i went in store the lady rang up cust. services and asked about it who said they had no records of us calling,, luckily my hubby had called from his mobile phone, which she could see. they couldnt find anything but said they would get an engineer to repair it.. the engineer came out and took our tele away ( over 2 weeks) and then finally phoned us yesterday to say that the part they needed they couldnt get hold of anymore and argos would replace the tele.. we went to argos who then told us that the tv we had was no longer in stock and that we could have the amount it is selling for now on a gift voucher..

I was very worried that nothing would be done.. and count myself lucky, i know quite a lot of people have told me that i wont get much satisfaction with argos customer services and as i have no proof wouldnt be able to do much but it is always worth a try!!!
