Slow sales

Is it just me or are sales slow for everybody at the moment? Last month sales were crazy. Since the start of September my customers have dried up. How is everyone else doing?
Waddle you do eh?

This week is not so good, but it has been busy lately. Moving bits and pieces but not manic.0

yep mine are slow this week to, got lots ending on buy it now tomorrow and only 1 offer, more ending on sunday and all new clothes etc which normally go well but no bidders and very few watchers
My first ever Ebay Challenge. So far after fees etc for 2007 - £635.72 :T0 -
Very slow and it will get worse next month if last year was guide. I found October awful last year and it pickked up slowly through November, OK over Christmas and surprisingly went mad in January to slow again in February.0

business is very slow at the moment am debating whether it is actually worth relisting my items this week or not. Might just leave it off for a few weeks0

I found that my sales have gone up this week. I think it prob has something to do with shutting my ebay shop. My stuff is probably getting seen easier now.
Has anyone else had the problem with people putting really stupid amounts in the best offer? I have an item up BIN £14.99 and someone offered me £1 - hello, like im gonna take that
sorry to rant off subject op.

I'm getting that as well. Items at £10 with best offer getting offers of £1.50

I have decided not to offer "Best Offers" generally because as i buyer I would perceive that the BIN price is too high or seller is willing to negotiate so why do I want to pay the BIN. Might be useful on items that are difficult to price though.0 -
People do the best offers to try and be funny. I had a guitar on at 900, best offers of 50 quid, 100quid etc, then it sold for 900 so i got the last laugh!!
As for sales... i think its part seasonal part luck. For me guitar sales die in about June but pick up again around October/November again.
I bought shorts in the winter to get them cheap and a duffle coat in summer haha! gota love ebay for that!0 -
I do stuff like that too. I'm often the only bidder on out-of-season items and buy them for peanuts (p&p usually more than purchase price).kriss_boy wrote:I bought shorts in the winter to get them cheap and a duffle coat in summer haha! gota love ebay for that!
I've found the last week or so horrendously slow. I've sold a couple of very cheap BIN items, but that's about it. No offers or bids on other items yet, and few watchers. I have had really cheeky "best offers" before, e.g. 50p for a £6.99 suit! I don't know if buyers actually expect such offers to be considered seriously or if they just like winding us up.0 -
mine are poor, loads not selling, but some are seasonal items like Tankinis and I have left them a bit late maybe One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0
