  • Just noticed that Website down and not answering any calls.

Is anyone else having problems? Do they still exist????

They have, unsurprisingly, dropped the loss leader rate. All dates now below 1.16 euros to the pound.

The website isn't taking any orders at the moment and refers you to their currency suppliers, just take care.

    Website working fine for me

The day I posted this thread I received a delivery of Euro's from crown, curiosity made me look at the site to see if the rate had changed much since my order date, seen the rate and made the post. Even though I had just had a delivery and was taking my main holiday 2 days later (got back yesterday) I still ordered some at 1.25 for October delivery even though I had no plans to go anywhere lol.

Website has not been updated since 29/09 and the number is constantly engaged. Is this the end???

I have tried calling the 0800 number - engaged, and the customer services number and that rings then goes to voicemail.
The site they are redirecting to - ICE, from what I can tell, do not have any connection with Crown.
I have never used them but I know they are extremely popular - if they are in trouble I hate to think how much of their customers' money they have in their account...

    How sad!

I was kicking myself for not getting the special rate that was the subject of this thread (I was not sufficiently organised to place an order) but it seems that my inefficiency has saved me from a substantial loss.

Looks like I'll be stung to £500.Would have been worst if this would have happened a few days later,I would have been tempted to put another £500 in.
  • My money has not turned up, I have used them previously without any problems, but please do not order from these people at the moment. I have lost £500.

Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

Just got back from America and found this news. We used them earlier in the year for the first time - we were worried despite others recommending them - anyway our large orders came through fine. We now have an order in for £1,240 in US$ which was to cover what we have just spent in America and it now looks as though we have just had a very expensive holiday.
