I have an Orange Sony Ericsson k800i.

I phoned Orange and asked for an unlock code on 31st August....after hearing nothing I phoned them again today to be told they couldn't unlock my phone :mad:

In the meantime I had signed up for the Tesco Mobile £6 per month offer and had requested a PAC code etc.

Today I have taken my phone to two local shops who both tried to unlock my phone and failed:(

Can anyone offer me any advice please:o

It would seem my phone is unlockable, so my option is to forget Tesco Mobile (a better deal for me:money:) and stay with Orange:(...or fork out on a new phone which I really don't want to/ can't afford to do:o

    se's can be difficult to unlock- i take it that orange didnt charge for the unlock then?

    whats your current deal with orange? i might be able to find a better deal elsewhere with a handset included........ ;)

    Thing is..I don't really want a new handset..or to change my number. I bought the phone for the camera really.

    I currently pay Orange:mad: £7 a month for 100 texts:o:eek:

    The Tesco sim card offers unlimited texts and 100 minutes for £6 per month and that would suit me just fine:) ....if only I could get my phone unlocked:(

    A turbo sim 'might' work. It goes between the sim and the phone a tricks the phone into thinking it has the right sim for the network??

    Hopefully someone will come a long that knows ??

    EDIT:
    My bad. The link won't go in which I guess means that MSE knows something that I don't and I've just seen the minimum order is for 50 units !!!

    you do know there are contracts that give 100 mins and unlimited sms for £10pm right? and i am 99.99999999% certain you can get quidco on them too

    SS The Tesco deal is 100 minutes and unlimited texts for £6 :p


    But none of them are any use to me if I can't unlock my phone:(

    can you not pick up an unlocked SE K800 on ebay as they are getting pretyt old now?

    I have an old k800 i unlocked and the wife the k850 so i know it can be done.
