How to heat a static Caravan

We are living in a caravan until the end of October but it is getting colder!
It is single glazed with a gas fire in the living room .
we have 3 bedrooms & 2 disabled children & 3 hamsters.
we have got a lovely electric radiator which is much better than the gas fire & safer too. that is keeping the hammies warm but this morning all the bedrooms were freezing any ideas?

electric is probably your only realistic option, especially if it's short term. Unfortunately it's not cheap to heat with electric.
Get yourself to B&Q, they have small, inexpensive 750W oil filled radiators, which would be great for a bedroom. A cheap plug in time switch and you've got a good solution.0 -
I'd agree with Andy that electric is the way to go - also check argos for 450w oil heaters, one of these in each bedroom would be fine probably without a timeswitch (larger heater/timeswitch is good option but as we are only talking about a few week the timeswitch may not pay for itself over a smaller heater left on all night), do check that the wiring is up to it especially if you get multiple larger heaters which may be a significant load.0

I'll add my voice to the 'oil filled' vote, too. They are cheap to buy and safe to run. All electric heating costs the same to use but these radiators are the only type I'd use on a timeswoitch, which I also think could help solve some of your problems.0

Consider electric blankets for the bedsA kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

put a blanket/fleece over each window just after teatime - keeps the cold out and any warmth from cooking your meals in.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Lucky its not been too bad this week although the rain on the ceiling is a bit like thunder. we found a couple of oil radiators which don't seem to 'trip' the electrics!!0
